Dr. Sabrina J. Ellis

Reverend Dr. Sabrina Ellis is a native of Ohio and a product of the Akron Public School System.  She is a graduate of Notre Dame College of Cleveland, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1996.  Recognizing her call to ministry, she pursued higher education at Ashland Theological Seminary, graduating in May of 2005 with a Master of Divinity degree, with an emphasis in Clinical Pastoral Counseling. In June of 2011, Dr. Sabrina received a Doctor of Ministry Degree in Transformational Leadership from Ashland Theological Seminary.  

Dr. Ellis is the founder and president of Living in Victory Ministries, Inc. which is an organization developed primarily to assist women with enhancing their relationship with God through spiritual formation and understanding their purpose through identity formation.  She has also served as chaplain for the Western Reserve Section of the National Council of Negro Women and has been featured in Cleveland’s Who’s Who Magazine. Dr. Ellis is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction. She is the author of the book entitled And the Women Came First and the editor of a book of women’s testimonies entitled And They Overcame.  Dr. Ellis is also a member of the Publishing Board of the Church of God in Christ, which is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee. In 2016 she was invited to serve as host on Total Christian Television (TCT), a network with over 70 million viewers worldwide.

As host for the Helpmeets’ Session of the Joint College of African-American Bishops, Dr. Ellis organizes and facilitates the workshops for women who are married to men of God who have become bishops in the Body of Christ.  She has also served as adjunct professor at Beulah Heights University, in Atlanta, Georgia and seminar speaker for Beulah Heights’ first Women’s Conference.  She continues to minister to women as she is invited to facilitate workshops, seminars, and conferences throughout the United States.

Dr. Sabrina Ellis is married to Bishop J. Delano Ellis, II, Senior Pastor of Pentecostal Church of Christ in Cleveland, Ohio and President of the Joint College of African-American Bishops.  She serves alongside her husband as the Executive Pastor at Pentecostal Church of Christ. Together she and Bishop Ellis have six children, and twenty-three grandchildren.
